Taron na kasa karo na biyar wanda ke da taken "Koma Bayan Arewa: Wa Ke Da Laifi? Za a gudanar da shi ne a ranakun 6 da 7 zuwa 8 ga watan Disamba. Masani ilimin harhada magunguna Hashimu Ubale Yusuf shi ne shugaban Dandalin Siyasa na kasa a jiya da yau.
Wakilinmu ya ba mu labarin Dandalin Siyasa wani fitaccen Dandali ne da a farko aka asasa a yahoogroups a duniyar gizo inda jama'a da dama ke baje kolin hajar ra'ayoyinsu kan mabanbantan al'amurran da suka jibanci siyasa, zamantakewa da tattalin arziki, da sauran batutuwa da dama da suka shafi cigaban kasa da matsalolinta da ma hanyoyin magance su. Daga baya ne aka fadada shi ta hanyar buda shafin Facebook na Dandalin Siyasa. A haka ya zuwa lokacin hada wannan rahoton akwai manbobin Dandalin Siyasa na yahoogroups 1, 964 da kuma wasu manbobi 6, 733 da ke a shafin Facebook wadanda duka sun fito ne daga ko wane lungu da sakon Nijeriya, haka ma akwai manbobin da ke a sauran sassan kasashen duniya.
Bugu da kari Dandali ya hada jama'a da dama daga jam'iyyun siyasa daban-daban, wadanda duka ke musayar ra'ayi tare da muhawarori masu ma'ana ba tare da amfani da zafafan kalamai kan wani ko wasu ba, kamar yadda dokar Dandali ta shata, a daya gefen tare da bin dokar kasa ta 'yancin fadin albarkacin baki. A cikin Dandalin akwai zaratan shugabannin siyasa, 'yan siyar akida, 'yan siyasar zaure da 'yan siyasar da ke iya azata ta zauna, baya ga manya, matsakaita, da kananan ma'aikatan Gwamnati, da 'yan kasuwa, da masu mulki da masu iko da 'yan Rabbana ka wadata mu, da dalibai da malamansu da sauran mabanbantan al'umma maza da mata.
Mai sharhin al'amurran yau da kullum, kazalika hazikin matashi mai juriya da kwazo Shehu Mustapha Chaji ne ya assasa, ya kuma tsugunna ya haifi Dandalin shekaru biyar da suka gabata, duk kuwa da cewar a yau ba shi ne ke da hakkin mallakar Dandalin ba, amma a jiya da yau ana kallonsa a matsayin ma'assasin da ya assasa haduwar jama'a a waje daya domin tattauna lamurra daya da zummar samar da matsaya daya da za ta amfani al'umma bai daya a matsayin kasa daya al'umma daya.
Domin samun nasarar taron, an kafa kwamitoci biyar wadanda za su hada hannu da karfe domin ganin kwalliya ta biya kudin sabulu. Kwamitocin su ne; babban kwamitin tsare-tsare da na kudi, da na gabatar da makalu, da na tarbon baki da tsaro da kuma kwamitin yada labarai wadanda duka za su gudanar da ayyuka daban-daban.
Fitaccen lauyan nan da ke da kwarewa da gogewa a aikinsa, kazalika shugaban Gidauniyar Dandali Barista Abdullahi Imam ne shugaban kwamitin tsare-tsare. Yayin da babban Janar Manaja na gidan radiyon Freedom, Umar Sa'id Tudun Wada da fitacciyar marubuciya kuma Mai Bada Shawara ta Musamman ga Gwamna Kwankwaso na jihar Kano Hon. Binta Rabi 'u Spikin, za su kasance a matsayin manbobi. Haka ma akwai Alhaji Uba Dan Zainab, Mashawarci na Musamman ga Gwamnatin Kwankwasiyya kan sha'anin wasanni, da kuma kwararriyar 'yar jarida, kuma editar mujallar Concern, Hajiya Nana A. Gwadabe.
Sauran su ne; Injiya Sani Umar, da Sadik Imam, da Hajiya Jamila Sani da Ahmad Salisu Isyaku da Abdulrahman Ringim da Dakta Bashir M, da Abdulkadir Sardauna da kuma Dakta Umar Tanko Yakasai.
Kwamitin kudi kuwa, Injiniya Sani Umar ne ya kasance shugaba tare da manbobi hudu da za su take masa baya, kamar yadda Umar Sa'id Tudun Wada zai jagoranci kwamitin buga makalu. Bugu da kari kwamitin tarbon baki da tsaro yana da; Uba Dan-Zainab a matsayin shugaba, yayin da Yusuf Dingyadi (Magayakin Garkuwan Sakkwato) da wasu 'yan Dandalin za su kasance manbobi. Kari da karau babban jigo a Dandali kazalika daya daga cikin jagororin da suka taka suke kuma cigaba da taka muhimmiyar rawar cigaban Dandalin Siyasa, Urwatu Bashir-Saleh zai kasance shugaban kwamitin yada labarai.
A taron an tsara za a gabatar da muhimman kasidu da makalu daga bakunan masana ilimi, matsaloli da siyasar Arewa wadanda duka mahalarta taron za su amfana daga rumbun iliminsu ta yadda za a ga matsalolin Arewa a zahiri da hanyoyin magance su.
A tattaunawarsa da LEADERSHIP Hausa, shugaban kwamitin yada labarai na babban taron na Gusau 2013, Urwatu Bashir-Saleh ya bayyana cewar taron ya zarce ya kuma shiga gaban sauran tarukan Dandali da suka gabata.

A lura a shekarun baya ba mu fuskanci tabarbarewar al'amurra a Arewa ba kamar wannan lokacin da muke ciki, saboda haka a yanzu za mu duba mu yi nazari tare da tankade da rairayar gano bakin zaren ta hanyar gabatar da lacca daga gurin masana ilimin siyasa da kuma bayanai daga bakin masu mulki a Arewar yau."
A bisa ga yadda yake son ganin taron ya zama ya kuma kasance ya bayyana cewar "Fatarmu ita ce taron ya fito da tarin matsalolin da suka dabaibaye Arewa da yadda za a yi maganinsu. Haka ma fatarmu ce mu ga an tattauna, an yi musayar ra'ayi tare da fito da al'amurran da ke gaban yankin Arewa da batun kwato 'yancinta tare da nemo hanyar dawowa da kwarjini da marbatar yankin da aka sani a baya. Haka ma zan so taron ya zama manuniya da aika sakon musamman ga shugabanninmu." Ya bayyana.
Game da hanyoyin da Dandalin ke bi wajen isar da sako ga masu rike da madafun iko; shugaban kwamitin wanda yana daya daga cikin masu kula da Dandalin Siyasa, hasalima wanda ke fadi tashin ganin lamurran Dandalin sun tafi yadda ya kamata, ya bayyana cewar "Akwai hanyoyi da yawa na isar da sako, bayar da shawara ko korafi ga Gwamnati. Daya daga cikin hanyoyin shi ne ta duniyar gizo. Kasancewar Dandalin Siyasa mahada ce da ta tattara mutane da dama, akan baiwa Gwamnati shawara akan abin da ta yi bisa kuskure ko abin da ya kamata ta yi wa al'ummarta."
"Haka kuma Dandalin Siyasa yana da matukar alfanu da tasiri wajen bayar da shawarwari ga masu mulki wadanda jami'ansu da masu ba su shawara ba su hankaltar da su akai, amma a Dandali sai ka fadi ra'ayinka ko shawara kamar dai yadda dokar Nigeriya ta bayar da damar 'yancin fadin albarkacin baki. Kamar kuma yadda aka sani Dandali yana kunshe da masu ra'ayin siyasa kala-kala, hakan ya kansa a yi adawa, a fafata tare da sukar juna domin zaburarwa ga siyasar kasa da su kansu 'yan siyasar. Duka a cikin Dandalin Siyasa ne ake gayawa Gwamnati bukatu da matsalolin jama'a, musamman wadanda ba su da dama ko hanyar da za su isar da sakonsu ga Gwamnatin da take mulkarsa."
To ko baya ga wannan ko akwai wani alfanu da al'umma ke amfana daga Dandalin Siyasa? Ita ce tambayar da LEADERSHIP Hausa ta yi wa matashin Bakanen ya kuma amsa da cewar "Kwarai kuwa baya ga Dandalin Siyasa na duniyar gizo, haka ma muna da Gidauniyar Tallafawa ta Dandali wadda muka kira "Dandali Foundation" wadda kuma ke da rajista da hukumar yi wa kamfanoni da kungiyoyi rajista. An kuma kafa Gidauniyar ne domin bayar da taimako da tallafawa mabukata. Daga cikin ayyukan da Gidauniyar Dandali ta sanya a gaba akwai ziyara da bayar da tallafi ga masu cutar yoyon fitsari mukan kuma ba su kyautar sutura, da sabulai da omo. Haka ma mukan bayar bayar da taimako ga daurarru a gidajen Kurkuku. Baya ga wannan a lokuta da dama Gidauniyar Dandali kan kai gudunmuwar kayan sakawa, abinci, da sutura ga mutanen da suka fuskanci ambaliyar ruwa, baya ga wannan akan kuma taimaki manbobin Dandali da suka samu kansu a wani hali na jajantawa.
LEADERSHIP Hausa ta kalato cewar bisa ga ingantattun muhawarorin da ake tafkawa a Dandalin da hobbasar da manbobin Dandalin ke yi wajen fadakarwa da zaburar da masu rike da madafun ikon kan nauyin da ke kansu; Dandalin Siyasa kamar sauran takwarorinsa ya fuskanci matsaloli da kalubale, daga ciki 'yan dandatsanci sun goge Dandalin daga duniyar gizo bakidaya a 2010. Haka ma wasu manbobin Dandalin da ke ganin an yi masu ba daidai ba, sun balle suka kafa wani wajen tattaunawar, duka domin a rage karfi da kuma dusashe hasken Dandalin Siyasa, wanda duk da barazana, kalaman batanci, karairayi da suka da caccaka ga shugabanni da wanda ya assasa shi ba su sanya guiwarsu ta yi sanyi ba, hasalima Dandalin Siyasa ya kara karfi tare da kara daura damarar tabbatar da shugabanci na gaskiya a tafarkin gaskiya.
Wadanda ke tafiyarwa da kula da Dandalin su ne, Urwatu Bashir-Saleh da Uba Tanko Mijin-Yawa (Uba [an Zainab) da Saleh Dakata da Sadik Imam da Auwal Rimi. Sai dai akwai masu sanya alamar ayar tambayar da ke neman sanin dalilin da ya sa duka Kanawa ne ke kula da Dandalin? A shekaru biyar da suka gabata aka fara gudanar da taron Dandalin Siyasa na farko a Kano. Daga nan sai Kaduna da Sakkwato sai Dutse a Jigawa, da kuma wanda za a yi kwanan nan a Gusau, jihar Zamfara. Duka wadannan tarukan an gudanar da su ne a karkashin jagorancin shugaban Dandali Hashimu Ubale Yusuf.
Koma dai yaya ne yayin da Dandalin Siyasa ya shirya tsaf domin tattauna matsalolin Arewa a wannan babban taron, abu mafi muhimmanci shi ne akwai matukar bukatar siyasar nunin yatsu ta zama tarihi a Arewa gabanin zaben 2015, domin tunkarar zaben. Saboda dattawan Arewa, manyan 'yan siyasar Arewa, shugabannin addini, kasaitattun 'yan kasuwar Arewa da jimlatan din wadanda suka ji gishirin kai bancen sanin ilmuka daban-daban, sun yi ittifakin cewar mafita ga Arewa da 'yan Arewa ita ce a hada kai, a kuma yi kawance da sauran sassan kasa domin samun amintaccen dan takarar da zai tabbatar da hadin kan kasa, zaman lafiya da inganta rayuwar al'umma a tafarkin Sallama da Salama.

ADDRESS BY THE SECRETARY TO THE KANO STATE GOVERNMENT AT THE 2013 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF DANDALIN SIYASA HELD AT GUSAU, ZAMFARA STATE ON SATURDAY 7TH DECEMBER 2013.

In the name of Allah, the compassionate and the merciful. May His blessings be upon our exalted Prophet Muhammad, SAW.
I am delighted to have the opportunity to represent His Excellency Gov. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of Kano State at the Annual General Meeting of one of the most important social media forum of our time, the Dandalin Siyasa. I am delighted to be among this gathering, more so because it signifies our part of the world has accepted the current trend, which involves converging online to deliberate and define What could be beneficial to us, what challenges us, how it could be remedied and all other benefits that could be derived there from. This anniversary is a proof of how far we have come in that respect. I am honored to be part of this board and will try to steer the course of this forum in the right direction, as one of its board of trustees members.
The Dandalin Siyasa as an important medium of mass communication has indeed come of age and has remained one of the best veritable mechanisms of appraising the State and its instruments, the Society and happenings within it as well as the economy and its dynamics. It is in fact a source of guidance and insight to policy makers, politicians, administrators and statesmen who, in their quest and determination to serve their people in the best of ways, believe in the need for feed back or objective assessment of their actions, decisions or policies.
In Kano State the administration of Gov. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso is premised upon the principle of serving the people credibly and to develop Kano State in all sectors. Being a cosmopolitan State and the most populous in the Nigerian Federation, the need of concerted and well informed approach to development is of paramount significance to the administration. We evolved mechanisms of measuring the pulse of the society in terms of the needs and requirements of citizens, their state of appreciation of government’s decisions, programs and policies and their views on how they should be governed. One of our sources of credible input in decision making is Dandalin Siyasa and of course other online social media forum.
The objective assessment and the quality of contributions and commentaries by participants, their objective disposition to matters bordering on the overall common good and above all, the level of intelligence of the participants, which in our judgment, is exemplary, encourages us to from time to time, adopt some of the advises and positive criticism in implementing some of our programs. It will suffice to illustrate this point by making a reference to a particular episode involving the conduct of a Judicial Officer in Kano State who misappropriated the estate of a deceased to the detriment of heirs. Our administration monitored the commentaries on Dandalin Siyasa and pursued the matter appropriately to logical conclusion. Dandalin Siyasa is arguably a very important social media network committed to the development of the Nigerian State, particularly the northern part of the country renowned to have an excellent history of politics, administration, trade and commerce as well educational scholarship.
The administration of Kwankwasiyya under Gov Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso which you coined RMK, is one of the state that runs the most transparent Government in the country. This can be attested to by the way and manner that all Government policies and decisions are published online and in national dailies as well as archiving such meetings on our website. In addition we have carried out biometric data on all civil servants including local Governments and judiciary. Kano state is also the first state that has introduced e-payment on all government transactions, and consistently enforce it. You may recall that even the CBN recognized and give the Governor an ward for this. Our government has taken education seriously. In fact our investment in education has consistently surpassed the Unesco recommend figure of 26% appropriation in the budget size to 31% for the last 2 years. Apart from the infrastructural development in the sector over 2000 students have been sponsored for both undergraduate and postgraduate studies at home and overseas. In the field of empowerment over 300,000 women and youth have so far benefitted directly from government programs under CRC, Lafiya Jari, and the 23 skills acquisition and capacity building institutes. Statistics have shown that this translates to 3million job creation.
On infrastructure work on the famous wuju wuju and Sabon Gari flyover bridge which were recently awarded has started, in addition to the expansion of the 5 major entry roads into Kano, the flyover at silver jubilee roundabout, interlock paving of all our streets, traffic and street lights as well as the 5 km dualised roads in all the 44 local governments areas. Time will not permit me to recall all our achievements in the last 2 and half years, but those who leave or visit Kano will attest to the transformation going on. The ongoing construction works at Kwankwasiyya, Amana and Bandirawo cities is approaching completion.
Permit me to however, observe that not all the commentaries and opinions expressed by participants are objective and well informed. Social commentary that is solely based on views and analysis from the standpoint of the observer, are often times subjective and sentimental. The process of governance and the art of politics and administration require in-depth participatory observance or meticulous scientific research in order to enable one unravel the dynamics of governance, politics and administration. The study of the environment is central and critical to understanding the complexity of politics and governance.
Statesmen and administrators are guided by certain codes for their official conducts. They operate within the ambit of the laws of the society, which could rather be termed operational constraints or overriding public interest. What could ordinarily be considered to be in the interest of the citizens if put forward may, from the point of view of the law, be illegal to uphold.
It is in this light that I want to ardently implore upon the multitude of our intelligent participants and commentators to strive to strike needed delicate balance between discerned societal needs and requirements on the hand and the provisions of the law pertaining to the leverage and limits of statesmen and administrators. It is imperative to stress that while it is obligatory for leaders to meet the yearnings and aspirations of citizens, it should equally be appreciated that such needs can only be accommodated in accordance with societal laws and in some cases, its norms and values and often times, in line with the overall public interest and available resources. The need for objective assessment of situations and the postulation of recommendations is thus of paramount significance on the part of social media commentators, especially those participating in Dandalin Siyasa.
Finally, I want to restate my sincere gratitude to Dandalin Siyasa for the honor done to me and to my State, Kano. I pledge my support to the course and my commitment to the development to the network towards strengthening it into a strong and veritable source of credible information and data that will guide statesmen, policy makers and administrators in their efforts at charting effective road maps for the development of their respective domains.
While appreciating what happened in Gusau, you will like this gathering to be jn Kano at the next anniversary, to show case the effort of this government in rebranding kano, and charting for it anew course. I extend the goodwill of His Excellency the Executive Governor of Kano State to this esteemed gathering as I request this AGM to grant my state the hosting right of next year's AGM (ISA).

How biotechnology can boost livestock production
Livestock account for one-third of Nigeria’s Agricultural GDP, providing income, employment, food, farm energy, manure and transport. Livestock production if properly handled can boost our economy, there is the need to use biotechnology to improve the quality and quantity of meat, milk and eggs consume to feed Nigerians and even export surplus overseas.
Developing countries like Nigeria is faced with the challenge of feeding its growing population, there is urgent need to balance it rapidly with increase in agricultural productivity. The country has to look toward to enhancing its livestock productivity.
Nigeria’s indigenous animal’s especially local chickens, goats, sheep, rabbits, guinea fowls etc can yield and produce more if biotechnology is adapted in to the process. In the Northern part of the country there are local chickens in almost every household in the rural areas. The local chicken productivity has been neglected due to introduction of foreign chicken popularly known as “Agric chickens”. With the application of Biotechnology the way they lay their eggs can be improved and also to enhance their quantities in much larger numbers.
If biotechnology can be allowed to play its role in the country, health challenges that are normally encountered by our local chickens during harmattan in some cases almost all the chicken in an area is wiped away because of the harsh wealth can be addressed.
Negligence has led to low production of Goat, sheep, cattle in the country and leading to shortage of beef for local consumption as large numbers are imported into the country from our neighbours.
Livestock like rabbits, turkeys, and ducks can be produced in large quantities to compliment the normal means of providing meat and eggs, but so far no efforts are put in place by both private and public sector to increase their productivity.
If Biotechnology is commercialised in Nigeria, it will provide new tools for improving human health, welfare and increase in livestock production. And it also enhances the ability to detect, treat and prevent diseases.

Da Shugaba Goodluck Ebele Jonathan ya zabi yabi shawarwarin da mafi yawan yan Nijeriya suka bashi na kin shiga zaben shekara ta 2011 a matsayin dan takara da kasar bata shiga halin rudani da tsaka mai wuya da ta sami kanta a ciki a yanzu ba. Tun kafin ma ya fito karara ya nuna aniyarsa ta tsayawa takara kawunan yan kasa ya rabu tsakanin yan – arewaci da yan kudanci.
A shekarar 1999 da sojoji zasu mika ragamar mulki ga yan siyasa bisa tsarin mulkin farin hula yan siyasa a lokacin suka amince su baiwa yan kudancin Nijeriya dama su fidda shugaban kasa daga sashin su saboda su huce kan matsalar da tsohon Shugaban Kasa Janar Ibrahim Babangida ya jefa kasar kan rushe zaben 12 ga watan June na 1993 inda ake kyautata zaton Marigayi Cif M.K.O Abiola ne ya lashe zaben. A zaben na 1999 Cif Olusegun Obasanjo na jam’iyyar PDP da Cif Olu Falae na APP/AD kadai suka tsaya takaran neman shugabancin kasa. Daga baya bayanai sun fito kan yadda jam’iyyar PDP ta tsara karba karba tsakanin kudanci da arewacin Nijeriya. Jam’iyyar ta shirya jarjejeniya a ind sashin kudu zasu yi shekaru takwas sannan arewacin kasa suma su dana har na tsawon shekaru takwas.
Bayan rasuwar tsohon Shugaban Kasa marigayi Umaru Musa Yar’adua, aka rantsar da Mataimakin sa Dakta Goodluck Jonatan a matsayin Shugaban Kasa. Sabanin tunanin mafi yawan yan Najeriya inda suka zaci Jonathan zai maida hankali gun cika alkawarukkan da gwamnatin su ta dauka kamar kudurori bakwai da samar da wutar lantarki da sa ido bisa ahuwan da aka yiwa tsagerun Neja Delta da sauran su. Sai kawai suka wayi gari Shugaba Jonathan yasa kafa take yarjejeniyar dake tsakanin kudu da arewa a jam’iyyar sa ta PDP . Ya fito karara ya nuna cewa kundin tsarin mulkin Nijeriya ya bashi damar tsayawa takara. Duk da masu kira a gare shi kar ya tsaya takara sun fito sunyi nuni da cewa a gaban sa aka tsara yarjejeniyar a likacin yana Mataimakin Gwamnan Jihar Bayelsa.
In zamu koma baya a shekarar 1976 da aka kashe marigayi Janar Murtala Mohammed inda Janar Olusegun Obasanjo ya gaje shi duk da cewa tsarin mulkin kasa ta bashi dama na iya kwabe kakin sa ya shiga takara baiyi haka ba saboda mutumtaka . A shekarar 1999 da sojoji zasu mika ragamar mulki ga yan siyasa bisa tsarin mulkin farin hula yan siyasa a lokacin suka amince su baiwa yan kudancin Nijeriya dama su fidda shugaban kasa daga sashin su saboda su huce kan matsalar da tsohon Shugaban Kasa Janar Ibrahim Babangida ya jefa kasar kan rushe zaben 12 ga watan June na 1993 inda ake kyautata zaton Marigayi Cif M.K.O Abiola ne ya lashe zaben. A zaben na 1999 Cif Olusegun Obasanjo na jam’iyyar PDP da Cif Olu Falae na APP/AD kadai suka tsaya takaran neman shugabancin kasa. Daga baya bayanai sun fito kan yadda jam’iyyar PDP ta tsara karba karba tsakanin kudanci da arewacin Nijeriya. Jam’iyyar ta shirya jarjejeniya a ind sashin kudu zasu yi shekaru takwas sannan arewacin kasa suma su dana har na tsawon shekaru takwas.
Bayan rasuwar tsohon Shugaban Kasa marigayi Umaru Musa Yar’adua, aka rantsar da Mataimakin sa Dakta Goodluck Jonatan a matsayin Shugaban Kasa. PDP, NORTH AND 2011 ELECTIONS
The clamour for PDP to respect its zoning agreement has turn to a national issue that even non- party members are involved. The leadership of PDP has not done enough or even worked toward protecting the rights and interest of North and Northerners that are its card carrying members. Why can’t they tell President Goodluck Jonathan that he cannot contest on its platform if he still insists on contesting the 2011 elections?
When in the late 1990’s the people of Southern part of Nigeria continuously agitate for return of power to the South especially after the annulment of June 12, and with the death of General Sani Abacha, the then Head of State General Abdulsalam Abubakar in collaboration with some Northern elites zoned power not only to the South, but to the South-west in particular.
The three political parties then, PDP, APP (now ANPP) and AD all accepted zoning. The PDP’s presidential candidate was Chief Olusegun Obasanjo and the APP/AD alliance produce Chief Olu Falae as its presidential candidate. The 1999 election was between Southerners in the presidential election, which was a sacrifice by all Nigerians for unity, peace and brotherhood for the sake of the country to remain as one indivisible entity.
As for the PDP it is now an open secret that the party had zoned power between North and South for the period of eight years each. As for the Southern part of Nigeria they had enjoyed fully their period of eight years. The North with the death of Late President Umaru Musa Yar’adua could not even complete the first four years intact. As the Northerners and other Nigerians in PDP expects that by 2011 elections, another Northerner will emerge as the party’s flag bearer in presidential election. But unfortunately, personal ambition, selfishness and greediness is been pursued at the expense of national unity and cohesion.
Either Nigerians like it or not zoning is now part of our national life. Who have ever contested Nigeria’s presidency and pick his Vice from his hometown because of competency? Why are political parties, student’s bodies, labour unions, professional bodies etc leadership are been rotated among members that are from the North and South? The PDP consolidated zoning in our political life. When former Speaker of Federal House of Representatives Alhaji Salisu Buhari was removed, his deputy did not replace him, but another Northerner in person of Alhaji Ghali Umar Na’abba replaced him as Speaker. Subsequently as Senate Presidents Chief Evans Ewerem, Dr. Chuba Okadibgo, Chief Anyim Pius Ayim, Chief Adolphus Wabara, Chief Ken Nnamani were impeached or fell out politically their deputies never replaced them, but their kinsmen from the South-east. Even when the first female Speaker in House of Representatives Madam Patricia Etteh was removed, she was replaced by a kinsman from South-west Alhaji Dimeji Bankole.
During the Obasanjo’s administration that PDP’s Chairmanship was zoned to North-central, and as Chief Solomon Lar, Chief Barnabas Gemade, Chief Audu Ogbeh and Dr. Ahmadu Ali completes their tenures or removed their deputies had never replaced them. When late President Umaru Musa Yar’adua came on board and the PDP’s chairmanship was zoned to South-east , Prince Vincent Ogulafor emerged and as he was booted out , he was replaced by another kinsman from South –east in person of present Chairman of PDP chief Okwesilizie Nwodo, Ogulafors deputy did not replaced him.
Though the PDP’s leadership and President Jonathan insist that the zoning debate is its internal issue, but why shouldn’t other Nigerians express their opinion as the party is about to oppress its own members from the Northern part of the country? Are the Northerners in PDP not Nigerians enough to also enjoy what their Southern counterparts enjoyed for eight years plus Jonathan’s presidency? And are they not humans that an agreement entered with them should be respected?
The Northerners in PDP should not relent in their effort to claim what is their right. The Northern Governors, party big wigs and presidential aspirants of Northern extraction i.e General Ibrahim Babangida, General Aliyu Gusau and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar must collectively ensure that their party respects its zoning agreement.
And the zoning issue is an opportunity for Babangida and Atiku to set the record straight as they collectively work toward power shift to the South in 1999 and 2003. It is now the turn of the North, will they be intimidated and allow the agreement to be abandon half way? What will history say about them if they fail to protect the interest of the North at this crucial moment?
Will President Goodluck Jonathan respect and abide by his party’s zoning arrangement? And will the PDP leadership find their voice and be able to stand by its rotational arrangement? What will be the reaction of PDP’s members from the North? Only time will tell as events unfold.

And the zoning issue is an opportunity for Babangida and Atiku to set the record straight as they collectively work toward power shift to the South in 1999 and 2003. It is now the turn of the North, will they be intimidated and allow the agreement to be abandon half way? What will history say about them if they fail to protect the interest of the North at this crucial moment?
Will President Goodluck Jonathan respect and abide by his party’s zoning arrangement? And will the PDP leadership find their voice and be able to stand by its rotational arrangement? What will be the reaction of PDP’s members from the North? Only time will tell as events unfold.

Jonathan And His Enemies
It all started like a dream , late President Umaru Musa Yar'adua was hospitalized, Jonathan became Acting President and when he died (Yar'adua)even before his corpse left Aso Rock for burial Jonathan was sworn – in as President. As he settle to work so as to try his best in solving Nigeria's numerous problems, godfathers , praise singers and opportunist distracted him by encouraging him to discard the PDP's gentleman agreement on power zoning and rotation which he himself was a witness to the agreement as Deputy Governor of Bayelsa state.
President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan seem to be attempting to miss the great and golden opportunity to be among the greatest men in the world courtesy of conducting a free and fair election that he is not a participant. The cabal that surrounded him held him hostage, and retinues of money seekers in the names of Goodluck Jonathan for President 2011 are all over his pockets to try to get what they can.
Jonathan is surrounded by men and women that envy him and may be scheming to destroy his name, reputation, prestige and dignity. If not, why can't they sincerely advise him to shelve his presidential ambition to some distant future? Already there is an agreement which every noble and respected person usually fulfills his part. And those campaigning for him have already sold him wrongly using tribe, region and religion which led to overheating the polity. Even the sellers of Jonathan project for 2011 are people of questionable character, jesters and have failed in all previous projects they champion for late General Sani Abacha's live presidency and Chief Olusegun Obasanjo's third term, and does President Jonathan have the kind of money that can satisfy their thirst for naira in championing his cause?
We already have a tradition in this country that it is not honorable for any one occupying presidential office when his principal is dead to contest for elections. General Olusegun Obasanjo in 1979 can contest as the Nigerian constitution did not stop him but he decided to fulfill the promise of his principal late General Murtala Muhammed. General Abdulsalam Abubakar also did not contest in 1999 after General Sani Abacha died, his principal even as he can transform himself, but instead he followed the path of honour and handed over power to Obasanjo. Is there any constitutional provision that stops Obasanjo in 1979 and Abubakar in 1999 from contesting? Like Obasanjo 1979, Abubakar 1999, will Jonathan 2011 who his principal also died with his party zoning the presidency to North for 8 years honour the agreement and refuse the temptation to hold on to power ?
2011 scheming have occupied President Jonathan that if he leaves office next year he can hardly pin –point any achievements of his administration. Unemployment, Insecurity, roads that are death traps, corruption, ill-equip hospitals and poorly motivated doctors etc are increasing by the day. Workers are not paid their salaries and in some cases more than two years and yet he can spend billions on festivities and presidential jets ! Like previous governments, Jonathan's administration did not make any difference. And to be candid and frank, Nigerians are tired of Jonathan led administration. Nigerians are praying and hoping that it will come to an end by May next year.
President Goodluck Jonathan has already exposed himself and all political calculations predict his defeat woefully at the poll come 2011 if he decides to contest. From his state of origin Bayelsa to other parts of the country there's no state he can confidently boast that he can win in a free and fair election.
Will President Jonathan listen to wise counsels of Nigerians that he should respect his party zoning agreement? And he should stop over heating the polity by his presidential ambition. Already due to Jonathan's ambition, Nigerians are now dividing along religious, tribal and regional lines.
And if President Jonathan has confidence of what he is doing is right about contesting for presidency come 2011, why is he handling it like the way late Abacha did on Tazarce (Tenure elongation) and Obasanjo on third term? It is not late for President Jonathan to disassociate himself from all campaigns for his continuity in office and to declare those that refuse to stop as enemies. Nigeria is above our personal interest and its peaceful co-existence is the most important. A word is enough for the wise.
